Getting to Know Digital Vantage Point

Michael Kulik

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Michael is the Founder and CEO of Digital Vantage Point, the company he established in 1997 with a clear vision: to build technology that reflects how businesses truly operate – and to do it with unwavering ethics, transparency, and high-road decision-making. After being introduced to Navision in the early 2000s, he recognized its unique ability to encapsulate a company’s logic, processes, pricing, and identity – a realization that shaped more than twenty-five years of specialization in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and NAV ecosystem.

Under Michael’s leadership, Digital Vantage Point has become an innovator in ERP-governed eCommerce. His architectural approach centers on clarity, simplicity, and integrity of data, ensuring that eCommerce doesn’t conflict with Business Central – it extends it. Michael’s deep expertise in system design, product architecture, and ERP-driven commerce has positioned him as a respected authority within the Dynamics community.

Michael is also a strong advocate for thoughtful, responsible use of AI in commerce. He believes AI is most valuable not as a source of truth, but as a collaborative tool that enhances guidance, content generation, and analysis when paired with a reliable system of record. His perspective blends pragmatism with innovation, ensuring that emerging technologies strengthen – rather than compromise – the underlying business logic organizations depend on.

Known for his calm leadership style and technical precision, Michael brings a rare combination of strategic vision and hands-on architectural expertise. His commitment to building practical, sustainable, and intelligently designed solutions continues to shape the evolution of ERP-integrated eCommerce for businesses worldwide.

Fun Facts

Michael may run DVP with calm, steady leadership… but at home, he’s surrounded by the real bosses: his wife (who he fell in love with at first sight back at her prom) and their two sons, who keep life lively, loud, and wonderfully unpredictable.

When he’s not guiding the team, you’ll usually find Michael happily lost in a project — building something in the workshop, fixing something around the house, tinkering with woodworking tools, or diving into a hands-on automotive repair. He’s the type who would always rather figure it out himself than hand it off. His family jokes that his ideal weekend involves good coffee, a quiet workspace, and a project that “just needs a quick adjustment”… which, in Michael terms, means he’ll be at it for hours.

But the one thing that gets him out of the workshop without hesitation? His mountain bike. Each time Michael heads out, he loves exploring scenic trails and taking full advantage of the peace and challenge of the outdoors. He also participates in annual charity rides supporting heart and brain health, combining his love of cycling with causes that matter. And when our Canadian winter weather hits, he doesn’t slow down – he simply switches gears, riding indoors on a trainer to keep the momentum going until the trails thaw.

Outside the office, Brett brings the same problem-solving instinct to home life with his wife, two daughters, and their very large, very lovable rescue dog, Odin. When he’s not renovating a room or tackling a weekend build, Odin is usually right beside him “supervising” – the gentlest baby boy despite his size.

DVP is proudly dog-friendly, which means Odin joins the team often. Whether he’s snoozing through meetings or making the rounds for attention, he’s become an unofficial (and very popular) member of the office. Together, Brett and Odin make quite the duo: one with the tools, and one with the charm.
