Nav-to-Net ArchitectureFAQ 1. What technologies does DVP work with? DVP develops its solutions on Microsoft stack technologies including ASP. NET, MS SQL and IIS. Further, DVPs flagship technologies currently work and are designed exclusively for Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
FAQ 2. What technologies are used for Nav-to-Net? Nav-to-Net was built using .NET technologies starting with .NET 1.1 all the way to the current version which is running on .NET 3.5. Nav-to-Net makes extensive use of SQL server, MSMQ, NAS Server, Web services and several other key stack technologies.
FAQ3. How flexible is Nav-to-Net for customers? The architecture of Nav-to-Net is designed to enable the vast majority of customers to manage virtually every aspect of their website, without there need for code development. In the event that site changes to look and feel are needed, the ASCX, ASPX, CSS files are all generally accessible to our customers. Also, should a qualified customer wish to gain access to the customization tier of Nav-to-Net, we offer in-depth development certification and license packages that would enable this kind of access. In both cases above, appropriate training would be a pre-requisite.
FAQ 4. What about NTN for developers / Implementation partners? Since 2006, DVP has provided and improved on a developer friendly architecture for Nav-to-Net. The architecture was developed in conjunction with feedback from several key development partners in North America and Europe. Nav-to-Net uses classic tier modeling to define UI layer, a customization layer, a base code layer and a data layer. Qualified DVP implementation partners are granted access to all but the base code layer. Both DVP and its implementation partner always do site development in our customization layers.
